As the country was celebrating its beloved father’s centenary with speeches of remembrance, a small group of people congregated in a small but buzzing township of Nelson Mandela Municipal in Motherwell Township – Port Elizabeth to honour one of its shining beacons – FUMISUKOMA Primary School with a graphically stylized library filled with great literature, puzzles and other board games to stimulate the young minds of this challenged community.
Net#work BBDO together with its partners – SHOUT Foundation and Steers bestowed this beautiful gift to the beautiful and hungry young minds of FUMISUKOMA.
“This is our 14th Seed Library in the country, our gift of knowledge to the young minds of our country”, quipped Boniswa Pezisa – CEO Net#work BBDO.
“To fulfill one of Tata Mandela’s visions of giving every child in our country the gift of education is not only a thrill for our organisation, it is an obligation we carry with humility and respect especially for the receiving communities. We believe much is expected from those who have a little more and we are fortunate to share from the little that we have.
“A big thank you to our partners SHOUT and Steers who have made our 67 minutes special by helping us transform a community’s trajectory.
“Thank you to our staff for enabling this opportunity and transforming a learning space into a space where imagination can thrive”, continued, Pezisa.
Watch this space for more Seed Libraries as Net#work BBDO and its partners roll out more Libraries.
